Dear Friends,

I hope each of you:

Can take joy in the simple moments.

Finds treats in unexpected place.

Have days full of wonderful messes, art and laughter.

Discover bravery you never knew you had!

Make new friends over a snack.

Try new foods and discover new favorites.

See the history of where you are in a new light.

Find unexpected humor.

Rediscover a love of learning, even if it's in your own one room school house attached to your home.

Much love to all of you. I hope this past week has been wonderful! We have been so very busy! Today was our first day of school and it went very very well. Hopefully we won't have anymore weeks without a blog post as we begin to settle into the routine of a school year.

Hope all of you are well!

I did, but the photo turned out really dark and it's hard to see the turkeys. Poor camera. It's just not meant for a photographer like me. :/

Levels! Adjust the levels! ;)
It's been beautiful here, FINALLY. We'll catch up with you at some point! :D

Mel ~ HA! Levels can't correct for a turkey on the move. And those were serious about hiding and moving. Crazy turkey.

I'm so glad it's cooling off down there. My thermostat on our old house is set to 80 and I got hit with a bill for $100 in electric last month! I was like "whoa no one even lives there!!!"

Beautiful photos! I can't wait to come back and look some more, but wanted to let you know that you won our DaGeDar giveaway! I'm so happy a new homeschooler won (welcome to the homeschooling world -- you look like you'll do fabulously).

Side note: You mentioned in your comment that you have to fit in 5 hours a day for the state. Isn't picking berries botany, and hanging laundry physical education or home economics, and drawing is art class, right? That's how we fit in enough hours in our happy days!
